Softball Recap: New Diana Beats Jefferson for Their Fifth Straight Victory

New Diana came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Bulldogs with a sharp 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

New Diana's record is now 12-6-1. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Diana will head out to square off against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapel Hill has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.55 runs per game on average), something New Diana will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hughes Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
