Christian Family Academy had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Charles Murray did his part to make it eight on Thursday. The Christian Family Academy Fire walked away with a 51-40 victory over the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles thanks in part to Murray, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The game was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Chapman, who posted six points and ten boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.
Defeat or not, Pinnacle Classical Academy got some senior leadership from Cody Humphries and Evan Bridges. Humphries dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Bridges went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and six boards. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Bridges.
Christian Family Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Christian Family Academy will venture away from home to square off against Lake Lure Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Lure Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-26 victory against The Master's Academy on the 24th.
