Softball Recap: Cordova Lancers vs. Valley Vikings

Cordova can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings as the Cordova Lancers made off with a 19-4 victory. The win was nothing new for Cordova as they're now sitting on five straight.

Isabella Tarpley-Cruz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Tarpley-Cruz was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Briel Brookins was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Izzy Nersisyan, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Cordova pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
