Basketball Recap: Monroe Central Takes a Loss

Monroe Central lost against Fort Frye back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monroe Central Seminoles came up short against the Fort Frye Cadets, falling 48-26. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Cadets are ranked 28th).

Monroe Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fort Frye, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe Central will venture away from home to take on Shadyside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Frye, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
