Soccer Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Rowland on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rowland Raiders by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Wilson moved to 7-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Rowland, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will venture away from home to square off against Covina at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covina will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wilson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rowland, they will head out to face off against Northview at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowland's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
