It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Horse Creek Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lamar Silver Foxes by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Stallions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Adrien Beak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madalyn Robatue made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Horse Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Lamar, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

As of now, neither Horse Creek Academy nor the Silver Foxes have any future games scheduled.
