Recap: Summit Academy Bears vs. Granger Lancers
The Summit Academy Bears had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Granger by a score of 70-59 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colbyn Draper, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Draper has scored at least 25% of Summit Academy's points. Lance Green was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Summit Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Granger, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against American Prep WV at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Granger, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Jordan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
