Basketball Recap: Redan Comes Up Short

Redan lost against Columbia back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redan Raiders were beaten by the Columbia Eagles 79-20. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Redan's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was De'Eric Cole, who posted four points. Another player making a difference was Tae Beavers, who scored four points and six rebounds.

Redan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which is still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Columbia, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Coming up, Redan is taking a road trip to challenge Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will welcome Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbia is facing Miller Grove at the right time seeing as Miller Grove is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
