Softball Recap: Glenville-Emmons Comes Up Short

Glenville-Emmons lost against Houston back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolverines lost 18-4 to the Hurricanes. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Wolverines' highest-scoring contest to date.

Carlie Loock was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. Another player making a difference was Madison Hendrickson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Glenville-Emmons' loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Houston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Glenville-Emmons will welcome Madelia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines are facing the Blackhawks at the right time seeing as the Blackhawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Houston, they have already played their next match, a 6-1 win against Hayfield on the 11th.
