Soccer Recap: Chugiak Falls Short Against Ranked Dimond

Chugiak faced Dimond in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 6-1 to the Lynx. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Chugiak it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Emerson Sims, who's now up to four this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Chugiak and nudges their season record down to 7-5-1. As for Dimond, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chugiak will challenge Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dimond, they will take on Service at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dimond are on a five-game streak of home wins, Service a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
