Softball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton lost against Lamesa back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buffaloes lost 12-1 to the Tornadoes. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Little made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Lamesa, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stanton is set to take on their familiar foe Brownfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lamesa will challenge rival Coahoma at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tornadoes are on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Bulldogs a 12-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
