Softball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

Jasper lost against Bedford North Lawrence back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Stars by a score of 6-5.

Carlee Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Young, who went 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Bedford North Lawrence, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9.

Jasper and Bedford North Lawrence should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Evansville Bosse at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (67 vs. 352). Meanwhile, Bedford North Lawrence (ranked 35th) will meet Trinity Lutheran (ranked 277th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
