Flag Football Recap: Foothill's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Foothill got themselves on the board against Pacifica on Wednesday, but Pacifica never followed suit. They took down the Mariners 18-0. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Mariners are ranked 470th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lili Reid looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 55 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 55 yards on only five carries. What's more, she racked up 95.8 passer rating, the most she's had over her last nine games.

The win made it two in a row for Foothill and bumps their season record up to 12-9. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points in those games. As for Pacifica, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Foothill will challenge Tustin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will be up against the Tillers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pacifica, they will square off against Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
