Soccer Game Preview: Greene County Tech vs. Batesville

Greene County Tech hasn't had much luck against Batesville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Greene County Tech Golden Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Batesville Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. The matchup will give Greene County Tech their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.

Things were looking good for Greene County Tech after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of North Little Rock by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Batesville made sure to put some goals up on the board against Cave City on Friday. They blew past the Cavemen 4-1. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Cavemen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Batesville's win bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Greene County Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Greene County Tech might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Batesville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Greene County Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
