Basketball Recap: Bradford Prep Takes a Loss

Bradford Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Charter Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-21 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Bradford Prep lost, don't look at Zoe Clark. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-12 en route to 13 points.

Lincoln Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Symphani Stevens, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Stevens also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Lincoln Charter is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Taylor Riggenbach, who scored 19 points and five boards.

Bradford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lincoln Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Bradford Prep has already played their next matchup, a 39-27 win against Mountain Island Charter on the 11th. As for Lincoln Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-54 victory against Christ the King on the 11th.
