Clarke County has no trouble against Choctaw County

Recap: Clarke County Bulldogs vs. Choctaw County Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jackson, the Clarke County Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Choctaw County 60-40. That 60-40 margin sets a new team best for Clarke County this season.

Despite the loss, Choctaw County had strong showings from Johnny Grice Jr., who scored eight points along with five rebounds, and Jerome Blanks Jr., who scored eight points. Blanks Jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Tyshawn Carlisle was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.

Clarke County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Choctaw County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarke County's road trip will continue as they head out to face McIntosh at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. McIntosh will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Choctaw County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marengo at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
