Baseball Recap: Jesuit Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Jesuit duked it out with Plant on Friday. The Tigers fell 4-0 to the Panthers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Jesuit got a good showing from Brady Hoar, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Hoar has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 15-8. As for Plant, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-6.

Looking ahead, Jesuit will take on Blessed Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.8, the Titans 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Plant, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Riverview on the 5th.
