Soccer Game Preview: Gateway Science Academy vs. Bishop DuBourg

The Gateway Science Academy Gators will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop DuBourg Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Gateway Science Academy's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Valley Park as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Gateway Science Academy, who have now won three contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop DuBourg can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on University City with a sharp 3-0 win.

Bishop DuBourg pushed their record up to 3-11-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three games. As for Gateway Science Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Gateway Science Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop DuBourg when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
