Basketball Recap: Williamstown Takes a Loss

Williamstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 53-16 loss at the hands of the Eminence Warriors. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Eminence was led to victory by Victoria Spiegl and Addison Roederer. Spiegl almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals, while Roederer went 6 for 10 en route to 17 points. Spiegl's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Smith, who posted five points.

Williamstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Eminence, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Williamstown has already played their next game, a 64-25 defeat against Henry County on the 18th. As for Eminence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-41 loss against Carroll County on the 17th.
