Softball Recap: Charles Henderson's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After flying high against Greenville last Thursday, Charles Henderson came back down to earth. The Trojans fell 7-2 to the Slocomb Red Tops on Tuesday. The Trojans were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Red Tops' pitcher proved too tough.

Charles Henderson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Calleigh Compton, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Charles Henderson moved to 4-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Slocomb, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Looking ahead, Charles Henderson will square off against Providence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slocomb, they will face off against Pike Road at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
