Football Recap: Texas Wind Piles Up the Points Against Blum

Texas Wind put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Blum Bobcats, posting a 57-8 victory. The result was nothing new for Texas Wind, who have now won three matchups by 49 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Zane Walker, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Rhys Bonow was another key player, throwing for 183 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Texas Wind's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jace Bever, Andrew Salmans, and Ezra Orewiler, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Texas Wind's record is now 6-0. As for Blum, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texas Wind will face off against Austin Royals HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Royals' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so Texas Wind's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Blum, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Walnut Springs at 7:00 p.m. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
