Prince Sohn commands the offense for Griffins win

Recap: South Pointe Griffins vs. Heritage Academy Heroes

The South Pointe Griffins came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Heritage Academy with points to spare, taking the game 88-69. South Pointe's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

South Pointe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Prince Sohn led the charge by shooting 4-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten assists. Sohn is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Omar Tolbert was another key contributor, shooting 5-for-9 from long range and dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.

South Pointe's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Heritage Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Bella Vista College Preparatory School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for the Heroes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Heroes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heroes will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
