Tippecanoe Valley extends home winning streak to six

Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. LaVille Lancers

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings won the last time they faced the LaVille Lancers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tippecanoe Valley walked away with a 56-45 victory over LaVille. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tippecanoe Valley.

Tippecanoe Valley was led to victory by Ian Cooksey and Stephen Akase. Cooksey scored 12 points along with five steals, while Akase dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Kyler Johnson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why LaVille lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Good. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Good continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedyn Foster, who scored four points along with three steals.

Tippecanoe Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. As for LaVille, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-5.

Tippecanoe Valley will head out on the road to face off against Maconaquah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for LaVille, they will be playing at home against Knox at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
