Basketball Recap: South Gibson Comes Up Short

South Gibson was the 63-59 winner over Obion County when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The South Gibson Hornets fell to the Obion County Rebels 62-56.

Obion County's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Richmond, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Mcbride, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points and five boards.

South Gibson's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 18-11. As for Obion County, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

As of now, neither South Gibson nor Obion County have any future games scheduled.
