Recap: Ralston Rams vs. Blair Bears
The Ralston Rams lost against the Blair Bears back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Ralston was outmatched by Blair at home and fell 65-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ralston in their matchups with Blair: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lilly Elsasser was Ralston's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Lexi Paskach held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Paskach took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Blair's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie Sullivan, who scored 13 points. Gueryn Kay was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Ralston's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Blair, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ralston will take on Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Nebraska City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Thursday. As for Blair, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waverly at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waverly presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Blair in Nebraska (Waverly is ranked second, while Blair is ranked 55th).
