Baseball Recap: Silver Comes Up Short

If Silver was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Mescalero Apache last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silver Fighting Colts took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miyamura Patriots on Thursday. The Fighting Colts haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Silver now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Miyamura, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver will square off against Gadsden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miyamura, they will challenge Chaparral at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
