Volleyball Recap: Hayes Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hayes can now relate to. They came up short against the Westerville Central Warhawks on Monday, falling 3-0. The Pacers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

While Hayes was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-15.

Trenton Borghese paced Hayes' offense, picking up seven kills. Borghese got some help from Raymund Ramirez and his 16 assists. Ramirez also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Ben Mcbride, racking up two apiece.

Hayes' loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Westerville Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-19.

Hayes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westerville Central, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Pickerington North on the 14th.
