Basketball Recap: Fox Creek Predators vs. Lakewood Gators
Fox Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Lakewood on Saturday. The Fox Creek Predators took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakewood Gators. The Predators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Fox Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kobe Sims went 9 of 14 on his way to 23 points. The matchup was Sims' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Vining, who posted 11 points.
Leading Lakewood to victory were Pop Cato and Darius Franklin. Cato went 8 of 14 on his way to 21 points, while Franklin dropped a double-double on 15 points and 21 rebounds. Fox Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lakewood, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

As for Lakewood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. South Florence will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lakewood surely won't give up without a fight.
