Recap: Newcastle Dogies vs. Wheatland Bulldogs
The Newcastle Dogies were the 48-23 winner over the Wheatland Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Newcastle took a serious blow against Wheatland on Saturday, falling 73-32.
Despite the defeat, Newcastle had strong showings from Jayde Harrington, who scored 16 points, and Sydney Pederson, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Newcastle dropped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wheatland, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newcastle will take on Rawlins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Buffalo at 3:30 p.m.
