Basketball Recap: East Syracuse-Minoa Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Syracuse-Minoa can now relate to. They fell just short of the Nottingham Bulldogs by a score of 54-51 on Monday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 66-49.

With the defeat, East Syracuse-Minoa broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Nottingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

As of now, neither East Syracuse-Minoa nor Nottingham have any future games scheduled.
