Softball Recap: Wissahickon Comes Up Short

Wissahickon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abington Galloping Ghosts. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Galloping Ghosts earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Giuliana Schumann was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Wissahickon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Abington, their record now sits at 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wissahickon is set to challenge their familiar foe Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Abington will take on rival Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
