Baseball Game Preview: Grandville Bulldogs vs. Hudsonville Eagles

For the second straight game, Grandville will face off against Hudsonville. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Grandville 3.6, Hudsonville 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Grandville turned things around against Hudsonville on Tuesday. They skirted past the Eagles 5-3. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 2, 2023.

For Hudsonville's part, they got a good showing from Ronin Bravata, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Bravata a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Parker Groenink was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

Hudsonville moved to 20-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak. As for Grandville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
