Recap: Montgomery Catholic Knights vs. Cherokee County Warriors
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Montgomery Catholic Knights walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Warriors on the road. Montgomery Catholic might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Caleb Mccreary, who rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 60 yards and a touchdown. Mccreary was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. Josh Griffin also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Montgomery Catholic's defense and their three sacks. Keltric Washington jr was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
The victory for Montgomery Catholic keeps them at an undefeated 15-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.07 points. As for Cherokee County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.
Montgomery Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cherokee County also has no future games currently scheduled.
