Baseball Recap: Southern Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southern Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over East Central HomeSchool on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for Southern Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Trey Chamberlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Jagger Scott was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Jaxon Frazier was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Southern Christian back to even at 7-7. As for East Central HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southern Christian will take on rival Wiregrass at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, East Central HomeSchool is set to challenge their familiar foe Southern Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
