Baseball Game Preview: Glendale Vikings vs. West Branch Warriors

Glendale is 0-10 against West Branch since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Glendale is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to Williamsburg, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Northern Cambria hit West Branch with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors came up short against the Colts, falling 12-4.

West Branch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lukas Colton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was Colton's first of the season.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Glendale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
