Football Recap: Dillon Christian Takes a Loss

Dillon Christian and Greenwood Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Dillon Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 31-7. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Despite the loss, Dillon Christian still got an impressive performance from R Bracey, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards.

The critical scores for Greenwood Christian came from Holden Poole, Ty Kennedy, and Leighton Davis.

Dillon Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Greenwood Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Dillon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenwood Christian, they have already played their next game, a 32-14 defeat against Bethesda Academy on the 14th.
