Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Center Tigers vs. Fort Loramie Redskins

Jackson Center hasn't had much luck against Fort Loramie recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Jackson Center Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fort Loramie Redskins at 1:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jackson Center will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating New Knoxville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Jackson Center took down New Knoxville 42-27 on Saturday. That looming 42-27 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Loramie put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Versailles with points to spare, taking the game 62-45. Given the Redskins' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Tigers are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Loramie's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Jackson Center, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4.
