Baseball Game Preview: Aubrey Rogers Patriots vs. Naples Golden Eagles

Aubrey Rogers had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lely on Tuesday. Everything went Aubrey Rogers' way against Lely as Aubrey Rogers made off with a 12-2 win. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Harry Lyons, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Tristan DeGenova was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Aubrey Rogers hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matches.

Naples' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Aubrey Rogers, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Aubrey Rogers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Naples struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
