Jaylen Gaines posted a new career-high in passer rating on Friday. He threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns. He was dominant the last time he took on Grapevine back in October of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. Gaines' passing game has become a key predictor of The Colony's success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Gaines and The Colony will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mansfield Timberview at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. Gaines will face off against Steven Hall, the Wolves' star QB. With these two excellent players competing for bragging rights, there's bound to be some exciting action on the field.
