Mt. Baker had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 8-1 to make it five. They never let the Omak Pioneers get on the board and left with a 30-0 victory. This was payback for the Mountaineers, who suffered a 27-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brice Cooper had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 128 yards and two scores on only six carries.

As for Omak, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. They were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five matchups prior), but Mt. Baker's defense proved too tough.

Despite the loss, Omak still got an impressive performance from Payton Smith, who rushed for 144 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

As of now, neither Mt. Baker nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
