Morning Star Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Pathway Christian Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Morning Star Academy never let Pathway Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-23.

Eden Kobernat was the offensive standout of the game as she had nine digs and two assists.

Despite the loss, Pathway Christian still got an impressive performance from Noelle Nelson, who had five digs and three aces.

Morning Star Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Pathway Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Morning Star Academy and Pathway Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Mustangs will square off against Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (66 vs. 264). Meanwhile, Pathway Christian (ranked 191st) will meet Quad Cities Christian (ranked 468th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
