Basketball Game Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Marion Harding Presidents

The Columbian Tornadoes just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Marion Harding Presidents at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Columbian played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 52-44 win over Norwalk. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

Meanwhile, Marion Harding waltzed into their game on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took down the Tigers 63-46. Given the Presidents' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Tigers are ranked 667th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbian's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Marion Harding, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Columbian was able to grind out a solid victory over Marion Harding when the teams last played back in January of 2021, winning 68-61. Will Columbian repeat their success, or does Marion Harding have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
