Baseball Game Preview: Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks vs. Dorchester Academy Raiders

The Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Dorchester Academy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Colleton Prep Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over Jefferson Davis Academy. The War Hawks haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hartman Fisk was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Braeden Hiers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Dorchester Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Northwood Academy 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 15, 2024.

Colleton Prep Academy's record now sits at 3-13. As for Dorchester Academy, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Colleton Prep Academy couldn't quite get it done against Dorchester Academy in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-2. Can the War Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
