Preview: Albany Lions vs. Muenster Hornets
The Albany Lions will face off against the Muenster Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Albany comes in on 23 and Muenster on three.
Albany extended their postseason success on Friday against Celeste. They breezed by the Blue Devils on the road to the tune of 56-0. Albany might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 27 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Adam Hill, who rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Hill was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Branson Beal, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Muenster can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 42-14 win over Wink. Muenster's win was all the more impressive since Wink was averaging only 17.25 points allowed on the season.
Albany's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Muenster, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Albany against Muenster in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 56-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Albany since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
