Basketball Recap: Kekoa Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stevenson over Hollister

Stevenson lost against Hollister back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stevenson Pirates took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hollister Haybalers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stevenson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kekoa Williams, who posted four points and ten boards. Jack Dalhamer was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Hollister, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Stevenson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-60 victory against Monte Vista Christian on the 25th. As for Hollister, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-50 defeat against Watsonville on the 27th.
