Basketball Recap: Dorchester Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Dorchester had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons by a score of 39-31 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Longhorns, who have now won ten contests in a row.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cara Bunger, who shot 50% from the field en route to 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Bunger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Bunger, who posted six points along with five boards and four steals.

Dorchester's victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Dorchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-25 loss against Sacred Heart on the 8th. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 32-27 defeat against Archangels Catholic on the 8th.
