Waggener came tearing into Monday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Shawnee Golden Eagles with a sharp 30-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Keilyn Taylor was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Jamarie Young was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waggener kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Waggener pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.1 runs over those games. As for Shawnee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waggener will welcome Atherton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Shawnee, they will face off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
