Basketball Recap: Red Mesa Redskins vs. Seligman Antelopes
In what's become a running theme this season, the Red Mesa Redskins gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Seligman 72-15 at home. The win was some much needed relief for Red Mesa as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Red Mesa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daleni Nakai, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Shyla Pipkin was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Red Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Seligman, they dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Red Mesa will square off against the at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. El Capitan/Centennial Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Seligman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
