Baseball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis lost to Palma on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sharks fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 4-3. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Francis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Fonseca, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Palma, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Looking ahead, St. Francis will challenge Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Padres have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Palma, they will square off against Soledad at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
