Soccer Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington lost against Northshore back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Covington Lions fell just short of the Northshore Panthers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Panthers are ranked 17th).

Covington has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14-1 record this season. As for Northshore, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6-1.

Covington has already played their next game (against Mandeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northshore didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Slidell on the 24th.
